Eli Turns 3!

Our little big man turned 3…where did the time go? He has really grown up over the past few months. Eli’s Birthday party was motorcycle themed this year. We had family and close friends there to help celebrate. For the 3rd year in a row we had absolutely perfect weather for his bday. All of the kids seemed to have a good time, especially Eli!

Silver Falls

026

We took the kids to Silver Falls…it was an absolutely beautiful day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Eli had so much fun there. He loved seeing the water falls (even the mini falls). Naiya enjoyed the trip too, but I think she wished she could have crawled around rocks with her brother :)

Milestones

We’ve had some big milestones/accomplishments reached over the past week. Naiya started crawling on March 7th. She had been moving backwards, but finally put it into “drive”. And, probably the biggest news of the year…Eli started potty training! Yes, it’s true, he’s now wearing big boy underwear!

Roller Rink!

So Brittany suggested taking the kids to a roller skating rink near her house. Sounded fun, but could Eli and Rory really do it at this age (both almost 3)? Well, it turns out they can and did! It was the most adorable thing! What I was most impressed with was the fact that they’d fall and get right back up and try again. Here are some pics and a video:

OSU vs. Tennessee Baseball Game

When we found out Tennessee was playing OSU we felt like we had to go…and I’m so glad we did. It was Eli and Naiya’s first time at a baseball game. Eli loved it of course, and Naiya was just happy to be outside with perfect weather. It was a low scoring game, but I was happy with a 1-0 OSU victory!

Chinese/Vietnamese New Year

We headed to Portland again this year to celebrate the Lunar New Year with family and friends. Eli really enjoyed the lion dance and got to bring home his very own hemp dragon! Naiya looked absolutely adorable in her little Chinese dress.

Happy New Year!
